Embroidered Goodness: Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein

Happy Sunday! Sunday’s are the best, aren’t they?

Today is the last day of Shel Silverstein week, and I’m going out with the big one…Where the Sidewalk Ends.

I ended up hanging all of them together in a little nook in our sitting room.
So what do you think, should this entire nook be filled with them, or keep it as is?

  1. If I don’t remember wrong, Shel wrote some brilliant songs. I just can’t remember which ones, but the name seems so very familiar in country music circles.

    • You are correct! He has some originals, and some of his poems he performed as songs. He also got his start doing comics for Playboy- he did it all!

This one is my favorite! Fill the nook – but maybe with another author, like e e cummings just spring (and the lame little balloon man whistles far and wee..;)

This is my favorite too. I think you should fill the wall with other authors. Didn’t Shel write the poem about unicorns that didn’t make it on the ark, so that’s why you won’t see one till this very day. and it became a song?

  4. WOW. This is seriously, seriously impressive work.

I love what everyone else suggested! Keep going with other meaningful authors.

  5. holy shit balls, you are talented. this is a STUNNING item.
