30 Days of Creation

Hello! Today begins my 30 Day Challenge of Creating a new piece every week. I’m so excited about this one, I haven’t actually sewn in two weeks (I’m having withdrawals). Maybe I was just saving all of my creative energy for this month?

This week I will be creating an embroidered Spain pillow for my lovely friend Abbey (she’s a fantastic photographer- everyone should check out her website!). She wanted something simple, so I’m not doing anything too crazy. Here is a peak of what it will look something like!

The all over fabric color will look like this.
The outline of Spain will be done in the orange color, and little hearts and the word “Spain” will be done in the off white.

Thursday I ordered all of the fabric I will need for this challenge from Sew, Mama, Sew, and I’m still waiting for it to get here. Hopefully it will be here tomorrow so I can begin the embroidery. I think my preplanning is all set, but the shade of orange is subject to change based on the actual color of the fabric when it arrives.

So what is to come for the rest of the month? A “Soaring Heights” Tea Towel/Tapestry, a Chevron Print Purse/Bag, a Party Streamer Pillow, and if I finish those before the month is through I will be doing an Owl and Floral Pillow for my awesome best friend, Melissa.

Have an awesome Sunday!
xoxo.
