After I finished the embroidery Joan from Mad Men the other day, I knew I wanted to make more Mad Men pieces. I wanted to embroidery Don, but I was too worried I mess his face up, and his face is just too perfect to mess up (such a babe). So, I decided to embroider/crewel the logo for the show.

Liesi and Bryan Take Chicago

This year will be three years that Bryan and I have been together, and can you believe that up until this weekend we had never gone on any sort of get away with just the two of us? So last week I told Bryan “let’s go to Chicago this weekend” and we did. I always seem to forget it’s only three hours away. We had such a great time.

Up, Up, & Away

At the start of this year I made this list of things to do in 2012. The most recent thing I can check off is getting a hot air balloon tattoo! Two weeks ago I got this baby:
I ended up not getting it as an embroidery because I thought it’d just turn out kind of messy. Next on the list: a sewing machine, and an embroidery hoop!

Tiny Little Hoops

The other day I got some new flexi hoops in the mail. I get so excited every time I get new embroidery hoops like these. They are so hard to find, and they are my favorite. For some reason I can only find them online through shops in the UK, which is a bummer.

I got a few of these tiny hoops, what do you think I should put in them? Aren’t they the cutest?!

Custom Embroidered Portraits

Happy Hump Day!

Lately I’ve been getting quite a few requests for custom embroidered portraits. I love doing these pieces, so I’m pretty excited. I just wanted to take a minute to outline the details for these pieces for those of you who are interested!

Time Frame:
Generally I can get one of these done in two weeks no problem, but that is assuming that I have no other pieces I’m working on. So, if you are interested in ordering please be sure to order a month (give or take) in advance to ensure you are getting the piece when you’d like it.

Cost:
I charge for these pieces per person. So, the cost is $20.00 per person and if you’d like your little critters included it is $10.00 per animal. The cost does not include a frame, I send them ready to hang in an embroidery hoop (8″ hoop) that is covered in the back with a piece of felt (which allows the option to include a personal message). You also pay shipping and handling costs (via USPS). Payment is accepted via PayPal, and I will send you an invoice upon completion of your piece.

Personalization:
The fabric color is up to you. If you aren’t too picky, just give me an idea of colors that you’d like to see incorporated. If there is any color you just can’t stand, be sure to let me know that as well!

Michigan Love

It’s been a bit since I have done an Etsy post. I’ve been wanting to do a Michigan Love one for quite sometime, so here it is! Michigan is pretty great if you ask me.

I really love the great lake embroideries. I think I just may have to buy one…but I don’t think my house can take anymore embroidery. It’s like a fabric store threw up in here.
